“How sad it is that we give up on people who are just like us.” Fred Rogers
I have read this statement by Fred numerous times; each time reminding me that we are all brothers and sisters in the big picture of things. On days when I’m ready to break out in Road Rage, or get a really short temper with someone at work, this quote always seems to put me back in place. How many people have I frustrated today? “I don’t know what is happening in that person’s car or life right now, I should give them a break.” I try to tell myself. “How many people are giving me one? It is time to do your part.” Just a few things to think about in this crazy hustle and bustle world we live in. It is easy to say, much harder to implement.
How true! Very rarely do we know the whole story to people’s lives; how often do we want mercy for ourselves and expect justice for others? As always, Mr. Rogers puts it in perspective.
So very true. Not surprisingly there is an interesting spiritual parallel there too. God loves all his children. Not just the non-annoying ones. We are all the same, and Heavenly Father doesn’t give up on us.
